Light and Soul

The three sculptures have been exhibited in a Group Exhibition at Galerie D'Art Nader, Florida, in August 2005.

Statement

These three sculptures are part of my work "From the Darkness To The Light" which reflect various social issues here in The Caribbean and elsewhere in the world.

The intention was to build the sculptures to the dimensions: 8 x 8 x 24 feet, for people to walk in and look out.

Due to transportation problems the sculptures have not been built that big.

"Light and Soul" symbolize the break out of the society, the search of identity and individuality. Only through our individuality can we be distinguished from each other.

If you look carefully you can see that the individuality - even though sometimes not desired by the society - reflects the light and builds new beautiful forms.
